Mind Fundraiser – ‘Drum 4 World Mental Health Day’

To help support mental health, Swan Samba are teaming up with Solent Mind and bringing together samba bands from across the world and YOU for World Mental Health Day!
On Tuesday 10th October, the samba band will be releasing a specifically created song to celebrate World Mental Health Day and an online collaboration song involving bands from across the globe. The band will also perform and house a fundraiser for Solent Mind on the 10th.
We have seen time and again how powerfully positive drumming and movement can be for wellbeing, so we want to share this energy with others!
This fundraising project for mental health involves 3 key things:
1. Samba bands, artists and teachers coming together to learn and perform a new song, to be released on World Mental Health Day.
2. Fundraising performances in the local community to bring people together and raise awareness for mental health.
3. Easy-to-access, fun and engaging resources that will be shared, for free, via Solent Mind to get households moving, drumming and helping support their wellbeing!
Swan Samba will be performing and fundraising in a Solent Mind venue in Winchester. More details on timings and exact location TBA…
