Two taster sessions for just £12!
Experience the thrill of drumming with Swan Samba’s two taster sessions for only £12! Drums are the oldest and most widely used musical instruments globally, and drumming is an excellent way to unwind after a long day at work. According to studies, drumming has positive effects on both mental and physical health.
Bookings are made through “class for kids”. Adults booking a taster session should register themselves as both the ‘child’ and the ‘parent’.

Swan Samba are known for their energetic Samba music that includes Samba Reggae, Funk, Maracatu, Ijexa, Ragga, and more. Our drum classes occur every Tuesday during term time, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Swanmore College in Hampshire.
Our sessions are open to all ages (11 and above) and skill levels, and are held in affiliation with Roynon Performing Arts, a school that has been established for nearly 40 years.
As a friendly bunch, we ensure that every participant feels welcome and supported, and the training is informal. Moreover, once you become a full member, you’ll have access to a wealth of online drumming resources through our band resources website.
For the taster sessions, drums will be provided. However, you must fill out the Roynon enrolment form before attending, and bring your own earplugs.
Please inform us of when you plan to start attending, so that we can adhere to health and safety regulations, put you on the class register, and have the necessary equipment and space ready for your first session.

During the taster sessions, you’ll get the chance to test out various drums and decide whether Samba is right for you before purchasing your own drum.
Taster sessions are offered throughout the year during term time, but they may be limited as we approach the Summer gigging season (typically June – August).

Getting There
Workshops take place at Swanmore College, New Rd, Swanmore, Southampton SO32 2RB.
There is free parking in the college car park.
