It’s a fantastic time to celebrate and showcase the skills learnt and improved in class. All ages and abilities are invited to be a part of this fantastic and unique experience. \nWhat’s more\, profits are donated to our affiliated charity Abby’s Heroes\, a local children’s cancer charity that has deep connections with the school. \nThis year will be the 7th theatre performance for the school\, showcasing dance\, music and drama from across the school’s 60+ classes. This will also include an appearance of Swan Samba!

DESCRIPTION:This is a new one for the band’s diary so very exciting! \nDetail direct from the organisers: \nThe parade leaves library car park at 5pm and walks towards ASDA roundabout\, then onto commercial road\, where it turns around\, once it has reached Beaumont road.  It then comes back to the roundabout. The parade congregates round the roundabout while the Christmas lights are switched on.  Then it’s back to library car park and finish.

DESCRIPTION:To help support mental health\, Swan Samba are teaming up with Solent Mind and bringing together samba bands from across the world and YOU for World Mental Health Day! \nOn Tuesday 10th October\, the samba band will be releasing a specifically created song to celebrate World Mental Health Day and an online collaboration song involving bands from across the globe. The band will also perform and house a fundraiser for Solent Mind on the 10th.   \nWe have seen time and again how powerfully positive drumming and movement can be for wellbeing\, so we want to share this energy with others! \nThis fundraising project for mental health involves 3 key things: \n1. Samba bands\, artists and teachers coming together to learn and perform a new song\, to be released on World Mental Health Day. \n2. Fundraising performances in the local community to bring people together and raise awareness for mental health. \n3. Easy-to-access\, fun and engaging resources that will be shared\, for free\, via Solent Mind to get households moving\, drumming and helping support their wellbeing! \nSwan Samba will be performing and fundraising in a Solent Mind venue in Winchester.
